Ten Ways to Celebrate Father's Day

Father's Day is coming - and many people will be looking for the perfect way to celebrate. There are so many things that you can do. You don't just have to take Dad out to lunch anymore. Doesn't Dad deserve something special, on this day of all days? Here are some ideas that will be sure to please.
Brunch. Why not take Dad and the rest of the family out for brunch on Father's Day? Brunch is a fun meal, you can have an omelet or waffles, a bagel or just about anything that you like. Mom can enjoy a mimosa and Dad can enjoy his special day.

Ballgame. A great idea is to take Dad out for a day at the park, the ballpark that is. Even if you aren't near a minor league stadium, perhaps you are close to a minor league team. This is the perfect idea for a summer's day.

Picnic. Another great idea is to take Dad out for a summer's picnic. You could go out to a local recreation center or a park and have a picnic lunch or supper. Fried chicken or sandwiches are a classic picnic treat. Don't forget the watermelon!

Barbeque. What about giving Dad a break from running the grill, and give Dad a barbequed lunch or dinner? He would be sure to enjoy this. Another great idea is to take him to a popular barbeque place for a meal, to sample someone else's barbeque cooking for Father's Day.

Comedy. It could be a lot of fun to take Dad out to watch a comedy show to celebrate Father's Day. Of course this idea would probably not work for small children, but would be great for college age or perhaps high school age children. What could be more fun than having some great belly laughs on Father's Day?

Volunteering. If your Father enjoys helping others, it could be nice to celebrate Father's Day contributing to a charity that means a lot to him. You could volunteer as a family and this could be a great experience that the entire family would remember. This could even become a wonderful family tradition.

Bike Ride. The weather is perfect for the entire family to go on a nice scenic bike ride to celebrate Father's Day. Everyone would enjoy this. You could stop for lunch or dinner on the way during your bike ride. Map out your route ahead of time so everyone knows where you are going.
 Remember to wear protective gear.

Fishing. Many Dads like to fish and spending the day as a family fishing could be lots of fun. Rent or use the equipment your family already has. If you have a good day at fishing, you could wind up catching your supper for tonight! Remember to take pictures to capture the memories of today.

Hiking. A great idea for lots of families is to go on a hike. You could hike through scenic outdoors or mountains. Check your route ahead of time and wear protective gear. This would be a fun family adventure!

Rest and Relaxation. Some families are just too busy; they never take time to relax. The perfect activity for them can actually be no activity. Spend a day just relaxing and doing literally nothing. Get take out food for lunch or dinner. Watch movies on television. Just enjoy the day and celebrate the wonderful Father that you have in your life!
